The Suva soccer team has thrashed Tavua 6-1 in their Vodafone Fiji FACT group match this afternoon as well as claiming their first victory of the tournament.
Suva got off to a fantastic start as Kelvin Naidu put Suva ahead 1-0 in the fifth minute of the first half.
Gagame Feni scored a hat trick and Christopher Wasasala scored twice to give Suva a 6-0 lead.
Suva was leading 4-0 at half time.
Vilive Naulalevu scored Tavua’s lone goal.
Tavua is the first team out of the tournament after losing two of their matches.
In other day 2 matches Nadi will face defending champions Rewa at 3pm, Ba will meet Nasinu at 5pm while Lautoka will play Labasa at 7 tonight.
