Liverpool are confident Mohamed Salah will be fit to face Barcelona after suffering a head injury against Newcastle this morning in the English Premier League.

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino, however, will miss the game.

Salah left on a stretcher after an aerial collision with Newcastle keeper Martin Dubravka during the 3‑2 win.

Mohamed Salah is the Premier League's top scorer with 22 goals this season.

Salah’s substitute Divock Origi scored the winning goal to send Liverpool to the top of the points table.

Liverpool will now play Barcelona in the second leg of the semi final of the UEFA Champions League at 7am Wednesday.
