A former Court Officer at the Sigatoka Magistrates Court has been charged with corruption related offences.
FICAC charged Isoa Matanitobua with five counts of False Information to Public Servant and five counts of General Dishonesty – Causing a Loss amounting to $1,616.50 between January 2015 and September 2016.
He is alleged to have provided the Land Transport Authority with false information relating to the records of the payment of Traffic Infringement Notice fines from five individuals.
Furthermore, Matanitobua allegedly received payments from these individuals and did not issue them receipts nor did he make a record of the payments made.
He has been released on bail and the matter was adjourned to the 5th of next month.
