A 19-year-old woman has passed away after she was allegedly seriously injured by her 21-year-old partner on Friday night in Colo-I-Suva.
Police say the suspect is in custody at the Valelevu Police Station as investigations continue.
According to Police the suspect allegedly punched and stabbed the victim during a heated argument over a Facebook message that was sent to a relative of the victim.
The victim was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The post mortem examination is expected to be conducted today.
