England has beaten India by 31 runs in a crucial Cricket World Cup match this morning.

England batted first and scored 337 runs after losing 7 players in 50 overs.

In reply, India only managed 306 runs after losing 5 players in 50 overs.

England join Australia, India and New Zealand in the top four of the Cricket World Cup.

India will now play Bangladesh at 9.30pm tomorrow while England play New Zealand at 9.30pm Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka play West Indies at 9.30 tonight.

Seven matches are yet to be played before the first semi final at 9.30pm next Tuesday.

The group stage format is a round robin, where all ten teams play each other once, in a single group.

This means a total of 45 matches will be played, with each team playing a total of nine matches.

The top four teams from the group will progress to the semi finals.

The first semifinal will be played on the 9th of this month at 9.30pm while the second semi final will be played on the 10th of this month at 9.30pm.

The final will be played on the 14th of this month.
