Vodafone Fiji today launched it’s Road Safety campaign where they distributed 50 reflective jackets to villages along the Coral Coast.
Vodafone Fiji says they will continue distributing these reflective jackets along the main highway where there is a high risks of accidents both during the day and at night.
It says these jackets can be worn by people to ensure they are easily seen by motorists while walking along the road thus preventing accidents.
Vodafone Manager sponsorship Adriu Vakarau says they are working with police to identify high risk areas around the country.
He says they have seen the need and their team has come up with the initiative to distribute reflective jackets to villages across the country as high-risk areas for accidents.
Vodafone has highlighted that this initiative is part of their ‘giving back to their Vanua’ as well as part of their 25th birthday month this July.
