A man who allegedly injured a Police Officer while throwing stones at him has been charged and will be produced in the Ba Magistrates Court today.
He has been charged with one count of serious assault.
Police Constable Satya Lakhan who is based at the Ba Police Station was attending to a report at Raviravi Feeder Road and was allegedly pelted with stones from a 54-year-old cane cutter.
The Police Officer sustained injuries and was conveyed to Ba Mission Hospital and later transferred to Lautoka Hospital for further examination.
The officer is now recovering at his home.
