President Jioji Konrote reminded the Fiji Airways Fijian Drua team that representing the nation in any sport is a challenge and as a team they are expected to perform to the best of their ability.
The team presented their i-tatau to President Konrote at the State House today.
He says he knows and understands that being selected to represent the nation in any international sporting competition has always been very challenging because they will be expected to perform to the best of their abilities.
The President also reminded the players to remain focused, listen to their coaches, play as a team and look after one another, to be great Ambassadors‑ on and off the field and always display good sportsmanship by accepting victory with humility and defeat graciously.
The Drua are the defending champions of the National Rugby Championship and will take on Brisbane City at 5pm this Saturday in Brisbane in their first game.
