A search is currently underway for 33-year-old Shiu Chand of Vatuwiri Estate, Taveuni after he failed to return home from a fishing trip.

The 33-year-old was reported missing over the weekend and the search has been underway for the past 48 hours.

The search party consists of police officers, members of the community and divers from Paradise Divers.

The search covered the Vuna to Vatuwiri area while divers searched out at sea.
