National Federation Party President and MP, Pio Tikoduadua says he cannot make any comments at this stage on the Speaker, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau referring the incident of him personally attacking Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama and the alleged incident of the Prime Minister confronting Tikoduadua within the parliamentary precincts on August 9th this year, to the Parliamentary Privileges Committee.

When questioned by Fijivillage, Tikoduadua said that they will follow the parliamentary standing orders and not comment on the issue.

He also says that they will continue to boycott parliament until Friday.

When asked on whether the three NFP MPs will be in parliament for the debate of the Parliamentary Privileges Committee report on Thursday, Tikoduadua says that is something that they have yet to decide on.

NFP Leader, Professor Biman Prasad says their position to boycott parliament until Friday remains.

Prasad says NFP will boycott the parliament sitting from today however he that they will go back into parliament if they believe there is a matter of interest that requires the party’s contribution.

Professor Prasad says they are concerned over the alleged assault by Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama on Pio Tikoduadua on August 9th this year.
