The Pacific Islands Forum Secretary General, Dame Meg Taylor has expressed concern on the escalating increasing violence in West Papua, including reports of several deaths, many injuries, arrests and damaged property.
She is calling for calm and restraint by all parties.
She reiterates calls for all parties to protect and uphold the human rights of all resident and to work towards addressing the root cause of the conflict.
