After making his international debut for Fiji last year, England based Stoke City midfielder Scott Wara is proud to represent Fiji at the OFC Men’s Olympic qualifier 2019 on home soil.
The 19 year old says their main goal is to be successful.
The young defender was identified by former national team coach Christophe Gamel.
He says he has always dreamt about playing in the Olympics and to represent his country is a great honour for him and his family.
Fiji will play PNG at 3pm today at Churchill Park.
Barring any upsets, Fiji is expected to face New Zealand in the final who have qualified for the semi-final along with Solomon Islands following their wins yesterday.
Fiji represented the Oceania region in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
