Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama met with his New Zealand counterpart Jacinda Arden in New York on the margins of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly today.
During the meeting, Bainimarama reaffirmed his personal commitment to building a stronger bilateral relationship with New Zealand.
He also commended the New Zealand government for its support towards UN peacekeeping efforts and contributions in the Middle East, especially in the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force.
Other areas of discussion during the meeting included greater collaboration in the areas of trade, investment and climate change.
