A Memorandum of Agreement has been signed between Fiji and Indonesia that will see Indonesia continue rehabilitation works at Queen Victoria School.

QVS was among 166 other schools in the country that was damaged by Tropical Cyclone Winston in February, 2016.

Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister Yogesh Karan says the Fijian Government was grateful to the Indonesian Government for its assistance.

In a statement, the Fijian Government says Fiji and Indonesia have a long-standing relationship which has not only allowed progress in trade sector but also education.

It says Fijian students have also benefitted from this relationship after completing their higher education studies at some of Indonesia’s top universities.

The Government will ensure that rehabilitation works which is expected soon at Queen Victoria School will be to higher standard.
