The taxi driver who is alleged to have caused the death of a 34-year-old woman following a motor vehicle accident on Monday has been granted bail by the Lautoka Magistrates Court.

Mohammed Shayeed fronted court charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death.

The woman was a passenger in the vehicle.

Police say a separate investigation into the alleged drug related offence is ongoing.

White substances believed to be methamphetamine was allegedly found in the vehicle.
