Fiji Airways Men's national 7s team coach, Gareth Baber says he would be visiting former Fiji national 7s player Amenoni Nasilasila who has been sentenced to 8 years imprisonment for rape.
He made this comment while answering a question at FNU's Successful Leaders in Conversation Series in Valelevu, where Baber was questioned about the responsibility of a coach and in terms of talented players going rogue.
Baber says Nasilasila is a super talented player and he has done something very wrong and has been found guilty of it.
Baber says Nasilasila has a strong Christian faith and he has to find his way back into life.
Nasilasila raped a 24-year-old woman on 22nd December last year.
A non-parole period of 6 years has been set.
