The post mortem examination of the 4-month-old baby who passed away on Sunday is expected to be conducted today.
Police say the father remains in custody at the Nabua Police Station.
The 4-month-old baby passed away after she was allegedly caught in the middle of a dispute between her parents.
Police say the victim's father had allegedly returned home heavily intoxicated and was refused entry into their home by his wife.
Police say the 26-year-old suspect got hold of a concrete block and allegedly threw it towards his wife which unfortunately allegedly hit their 4-month old daughter.
The victim was rushed to the CWM Hospital but was pronounced dead.
