The three assessors in the murder trial of two former Police Officers Kelepi Kolinisau and Selema Tikoenaburevere have returned with mixed opinions.

All three assessors have found the two not guilty of murder but they had mixed opinions on other charges.

Kolinisau has been found guilty by all three assessors of the lesser count of manslaughter.

Two assessors have found Tikoenaburevere guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm while one assessor found him not guilty of murder, manslaughter and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

26-year-old Josua Lalauvaki was allegedly assaulted by Kolinisau and Tikoenaburevere in Suva on 2nd September last year and passed away at CWM Hospital on the 11th of October last year.

Judge, Justice Vinsent Perera will give his judgement at 2.30pm tomorrow.

Both men have been remanded in custody.
