Opportunities for the export of Fijian sugar to Korea were explored as Fiji Sugar Corporation met with representatives from the Korean Importers Association.

Korean Importers Association commented on the unique natural appeal of Fijian sugar.

FSC CEO Graham Clark presented the recently re-branded FSC range of packed sugar to the Korean delegation which included Korean Importers Association Chairman Kwan-hee Hong.

Potential Korean customers in food manufacturing, refining, retail and packaging were identified and discussed.

Details of pack sizes and delivery possibilities were also discussed, together with opportunities for bulk raw sugar exports from Lautoka Port and Malau Port in Vanua Levu to Korea.

FSC also updated the delegation on the status of the FSC food safety compliance and certifications in process.

Korean Importers Association chairman Kwang-hee Hong commended FSC on its product offering and noted that the extended membership of the Korean Importers Association in Korea was available for FSC to progress potential future commercial relationships.
