The people in Sigatoka are currently experiencing heavy rain and strong winds.

 According to the National Fire Authority Sigatoka, their officers are currently doing their rounds to make sure all is well.

NFA Officer Aaron Batavotavo says that all shops except for supermarkets have closed. He says there are hardly any people in Sigatoka Town.

He adds people are also securing their homes and putting up shutters.
