Winds are slowly picking up in Kadavu.

Staff Nurse Lemeki Vaka from Vunisea Nursing Station says people  are cutting tree branches, and have bought their food as shops in Vunisea have started to close.

Vaka says they also have a team from the Vunisea Nursing Station  on standby for Cyclone Sarai.

He says they are all praying and hoping for the best.
