A emergency operation centre has been activated at the District Officer’s office in Nadi.

NFA’s Acting Station Officer Tanoa Ledua says all shops have been closed and the town is relatively quiet except for a few cars that are moving around.

He says the weather is normal there at the moment where the rain has stopped and winds are not that strong.

Ledua says the people have been very proactive and have taken the warnings very seriously.
