Fijian born former Wallabies winger, Henry Speight’s first Super Rugby match in Queensland colors will be against his former club Brumbies this Friday.

Speight says when the schedule came out and it was just a bit of a funny feeling seeing the first game was up against the Brumbies and in Canberra.

Speight says Canberra feels like home to him, it has a very special place in his heart and not only for him but more importantly, for his family back in Fiji.

He says he’s got a lot of respect for his old club and if selected he will play his part for the Queensland Reds.

He adds he will wear the maroon jersey with pride and pay my utmost respect to the opposition and the community by playing his best on the day.

The Reds will take on the Brumbies at 8.15 pm Friday.

In other Super Rugby matches this weekend, the Blues will take on the Chiefs at 6.05 pm Friday, the Sharks will play the Bulls at 5.10 am Saturday, the Sunwolves will face the Rebels at 3.45 pm Saturday, the Crusaders face the Waratahs at 6.05 pm this Saturday, Stormers will play the Hurricanes at 1.05 am Sunday while the Jaguares will take on the Lions at 11 am Sunday.
