35,000 Fijians are expected to benefit from the recent installation of a new flow meter by the Water Authority of Fiji at the Saru Reservoir.
WAF Regional Manager West, Romulusi Mataitoga says all their customers that are feeding from Saru Reservoir have always faced the challenge of low water pressure and intermittent supply when larger particles clog up on the turbine which results in low water pressure.
He says the old mechanical bulk meter was replaced with the new flow meter which now gives WAF customers an improved pressure to their water supply.
Mataitoga adds the new flow meter will not only benefit their customers but will also make their work easier by generating accurate reading on the water quantity, water consumption by the customers and the flow reading.
7000 household are expected to benefit from it.
