New Zealand will partner with Australia to get citizens out of the Chinese city of Wuhan, and they could be quarantined on Christmas Island.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the partnership yesterday, saying he had spoken with New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and the operation was very much a co-operation.

When asked if the quarantine would be on Christmas Island, Morrison had replied yes and the expectation was for 14 days, but he did not elaborate to say if this would include Kiwis.

Morrison says Australia would be working closely with New Zealand and others in the Pacific region to provide possible support.
