Minister of Health and Medical Services, Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete has highlighted that they are planning to enlarge the Nakorovatu Health Centre in Cakaudrove to cater for the high number of people in the area.

The Nakorovatu Health Centre is serving villages in Natuvu, Vunidamoli, Valeni, Naiqaqi and Laucala in Cakudrove.

This is in relation to an issue raised by a Laucala Villager during a talanoa session at Nakorovatu village who says that health officials in Nakorovatu Health Centre had been sending patients with serious illnesses to be reviewed in other health centres and sometimes are being told to be reviewed at Labasa Hospital.

Dr. Waqainabete says they have been discussing about the enlargement of the health centre for sometime now and this is expected to be completed in one or two years.
