Sevu Reece will start off the bench for the Crusaders as the defending champions have named a fairly new look side for their opening match of this years Super Rugby against the Waratahs this Saturday.

Scott Barrett who takes over from Kieran Read as captain will start at lock together with Mitchell Dunshea.

Mitchell Drummond will partner Richie Mo’unga in the halves.

Other notable inclusions are Jack Goodhue, Braydon Ennor, Will Jordan, David Havilii and Tom Sanders.

Meanwhile, the Crusaders have also announced that they will donate $1000 for every try they score to the relief funds which will be supporting Australian farming communities affected by recent droughts and bushfires.

The Crusaders take on the Waratahs at 6.05pm this Saturday in Nelson.
