Claims of rowdy late-night parties and reports of a 2am haka at All Blacks star Rieko Ioane's Auckland home have sparked an investigation.

A statement from The Blues said the Super Rugby side was aware of an anonymous complaint being lodged via the Independent Complaints Authority, which acts on behalf of New Zealand Rugby.

The statement read the club is investigating as part of that process.

They say the Blues are not entitled to make any comment as this is now an employment matter.

The Herald on Sunday reported one irate neighbour let herself into Ioane's Stonefields home after being woken by a 2am haka.

It was reported the complaint alleged loud late-night parties involving both Rieko and his brother Akira, who also plays for the Blues.

Neighbours told the newspaper the main problem wasn't the haka in the early hours, which only happened once, but rather the yelling and noise, including bad language.
