The Sharks have named their 23 member team to face the Highlanders.
Lukhanyo Am will lead the team this week and it will also be his 50th Super Rugby match.
Am will play in the centre position, teaming up with fellow Springboks players Curwin Bosch and Makazole Mapimpi in the backline.
Hooker Craig Burden is also set to make his 50th Super Rugby appearance when he comes off the bench for the Sharks.
Head coach Sean Everitt says that the Sharks will take confidence from a winning start to their season as they head to New Zealand and Australia for a four week tour.
Meanwhile, the Highlanders will be unleashing their All Blacks players, with Aaron Smith at halfback and Mitch Hunt at number 10.
Josh Ioane will start at No 12 with Josh McKay at fullback in a side full of attacking intent.
The Highlanders takes on the Sharks at 6.05pm Friday.
Looking at other matches this week, the Brumbies will face the Rebels at 8.15pm Friday, the Chiefs will take on the Crusaders at 6.05pm Saturday, the Blues battle the Waratahs at 8.15pm Saturday, the Lions will play the Reds at 1.05am Sunday while the Stormers and the Bulls play at 3.15am Sunday and the Hurricanes will take on the Jaquares at 9.40am Sunday.
