Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has commissioned four Irish crossings on Koro Island which is an investment of $4.4 million.

The four newly constructed crossings are located at Nakodu, Waitabu, Nasoi and Nasau villages.

Bainimarama says this is an investment the Fijian government has gifted to the people of Koro Island to uplift their standard of living and become successful.

He says in just a week, he has commissioned nearly $20 million worth of new developments and adds that this is a victory for Fiji.

Bainimarama also claimed that even with this victory, his political opponents are travelling around the country spreading lies that the government has run out of money.

He adds this is not true and hypocritical because when many of them were in government, Fiji had to take out loans just to pay for their day-to-day expenses.
