South Africa opened their Tri Nations campaign on a high note registering a 28-19 win against defending champion title holders, the All Blacks this morning.
The Springboks survived a second half comeback from the visitors who had earlier notched a win over Australia 22-16.
South African Captain John Smith said that this was an important game for them as winning against the All Blacks would see them on the right path to grab the Title this year.
The All Blacks only ran in a single try compared to the 2 from the hosts, who at the moment top the points table based on differential points.
The next Tri-Nations encounter will see South Africa once again face off with New Zealand next Saturday, the 1st of August.
