Officials from the Primary Industry Ministry are still trying to determine how and where Brucellosis re-emerged among cattle stock in Fiji.
Media liaison officer Jo Uluilakeba said Brucellosis was last recorded in Fiji during the late 80s, and following the containment of the disease back then, Fiji was declared Brucellosis free.
However, Uluilakeba said declaring Fiji Brucellosis free does not mean the total eradication of the disease.
He added currently teams are out in various divisions testing cattle and they should know more after this is done.
