The Fiji Police Force has clarified that Hindus celebrating Ram Naumi in a public place will need to have a permit.
However, Police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said people who are celebrating Ram Naumi at their homes will not need to have a permit.
He added that the Police Commissioner and the Police Force have given their best wishes for the celebrations.
