A youth media monitoring exercise will be undertaken from August as part of the International Year of the Youth.
The Department Youth and Sports and Fiji Media Watch this afternoon signed a memorandum of understanding to ascertain the volume and quality of media coverage given to the youth and related development issues.
Director for Youth and Sports, Makereta Sauturaga said the exercise is expected to generate findings which will be utilized as a platform to advocate for effective media coverage and highlight unpublished most significant change or success stories of youth.
The National Youth Council of Fiji is also assisting with the provision of volunteer monitors for the project.
