More than five cases of robberies and burglaries have occurred in the past few weeks which have led to arrests and identification of strong leads by police.
Some of these cases include a 22-year-old man who was arrested and charged in connection with a robbery of a house in Raiwaqa.
Police are now searching for two other suspects.
In another case, a 34-year-old man of Marine Drive in Lami has been arrested in connection with a robbery in his area.
The suspect had entered the house of a 29-year-old woman and tied her with a rope and made off with items worth $5,280.
Also, a 44-year-old man of Kinoya who robbed a shop owner while serving a customer made off with $2000 cash and jewellery worth $500 has appeared in court and remanded in custody until the 14th of June.
Spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri warned people with ulterior motives to abstain from committing any offence or they will be facing the full brunt of the law.
Inspector Sokomuri added members of the public are advised to assist police in keeping their neighborhood safe by reporting any suspicious activities or characters to the nearest police station.
