The province of Ba maintains that education is the main reason why they continue to push and to celebrate the Adi Salusalu Festival annually.

Chairman of the Ba Provincial Council Ratu Meli Saukuru said the 21 districts in the province have a target of $200,000 to raise and direct it to the students’ education.

Each district has prepared to present their mekes and items and food stalls in the three day event.

Students who receive the assistance include the kindergartens right up to the tertiary level.

Saukuru said the committee has also invited some Government ministries like the Health Ministry to be present during the event and to conduct health checks.

The event is expected to kick off on the 27th of this month in Lautoka.
