With Christmas around the corner the National Fire Authority is working with the Police to achieve a zero-fire occurrence during this festive season.
NFA and Police will be sending out messages to the general public through community visits so that they take safety precautions.
The NFA is requesting adults to monitor children so that they do not play with matches, lighters or candles which are primary causes of house fires.
Last year during the festive period four structural fires had occurred which saw two lives being lost.
