Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will meet his Russian counterpart, Dmitry Medvedev at his official residence outside Moscow later today. 

Commodore Bainimarama arrived in Moscow earlier today. 

The Prime Minister is leading the first Fijian Government delegation to Moscow, designed to boost trade and investment opportunities. 

The head of government was received by the non-resident Ambassador for the Russian Federation to Fiji, Vladimir Morozov and senior government officials that oversee Asia Pacific Affairs. 

Commodore Bainimarama is accompanied by Minister for Defence Joketani Cokanasiga, Minister for Youth and Sports Commander Viliame Naupoto, Director for Immigration Nemani Vuniwaqa, Acting Solicitor General and Acting Permanent Secretary for Civil Aviation Sharvada Sharma, Chairman for Investment Fiji Truman Bradley, Navy Commander John Fox as well as Fiji’s non-resident Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Isikeli Mataitoga.
