A man believed to be in his 40s is now admitted at the CWM hospital after he was involved in an accident when his vehicle crashed into a shop at the junction of Narere road in Laqere 7 miles this morning.
An eye witness told Fijivillage that the vehicle was going towards Nausori when it is alleged that vehicle veered off the road and smashed into Yees Bakery.
It is alleged that the driver was speeding and he allegedly hit two other vehicles before smashing into the shop.
Meanwhile, the owner of Yees Bakery Semi Yee told Fijivillage that he was serving a customer when he heard a loud noise.
His mother-in-law and eight month old baby were inside the shop when the incident happened.
Yee who has been renting the shop for four years said he was shocked to see the state of the vehicle.
He said the vehicle also hit a large kerosene tank, walls of the shop, a bulk and a gate.
He said the estimated cost of damage is around $10,000.
