Tonga's Prime Minister, Doctor Feleti Sevele has today said that Pacific countries should support Fiji and be more understanding.
While speaking in a press conference in NZ, Doctor Sevele told Newstalk ZB that he had talks with Commodore Frank Bainimarama and encouraged him to engage with his people and work towards democracy.
Doctor Sevele said even if it takes two years to get Fiji back to the negotiation table, the Pacific countries should not give up.
He said Pacific nations should stand back and give Fiji time to sort out exactly where they want to go
NZ Prime Minister, John Key said they are ready to engage but their stance on Fiji remains the same.
