Two people have lost their lives following separate road accidents last night.
Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said in the first incident a 6-year-old boy who was selling cassava with his 14-year-old brother along Adi Davila Road in Davuilevu allegedly ran across the road when he was hit by the vehicle traveling toward Davuilevu Housing.
He was rushed to the Nausari Hospital and later to the CWM Hospital where he passed away early this morning.
Naisoro said Police are now looking for the driver and requesting for information which could help identify the vehicle involved.
Meanwhile, in another incident a 48-year-old man lost his life after he was allegedly hit by a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old woman along the Queens Road in Navo, Nadi around 9pm.
Naisoro said 20 minutes prior to the tragic accident, the suspect in this case was booked for speeding.
The driver is now in police custody.
