A woman with links to Fiji has been recognised in New Zealand for her contribution towards the Fijian Community there.
Sereana Comeke Phillips has been recognised in the New Zealand New Years Honours list for services to the Fijian community.
She has been appointed to The New Zealand Order of Merit.
Phillips is one of thirteen Pacific people recognised in the New Zealand New Years Honours list.
Former All Black and Manu Samoa rugby coach Tuifa'asisina Bryan George Willams was also appointed a Knight Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit.
