A 34-year-old man who escaped from lawful custody and a 23-year-old woman who was harbouring him have been remanded in custody.

Ravuama Kedrabuka is alleged to have escaped from police custody on 23rd December last year in Samabula.

Meanwhile, Wainisi Tuinaceva is alleged to have assisted Kedrabuka a prisoner who was illegally at large.

Magistrate Asanga Bodaragama has adjourned the matter to the 16th of this month.
