Firefighters battled burning oil at the China Railway 5 group yard along Nokonoko road in Laucala Beach this morning.
No one was injured in the fire.
The National Fire Authority confirms that the fire was immediately put out.
Thick black smoke from the yard could be seen as far as Kinoya.
It is not clear at this stage how the fire started.
