A 24-year-old man who allegedly assaulted a woman in her house has been granted bail in the sum of $1000 by the Suva Magistrates Court.
It is alleged that Etuate Nayacatoga approached a woman’s home in Namadi Heights and asked for the whereabouts of her husband.
The court heard that Nayacatoga got angry and started to argue with the woman and allegedly told her that since her husband is not there, she will get what her husband was supposed to get.
It is alleged he then punched her on the head, stomach and hands.
Nayacatoga is charged with assault causing actual bodily harm and the case has been adjourned to 24th April.
