The National Fire Authority was able to control the fire that broke out at 7.45am on Vunivalu Road off Brown Street.
NFA has confirmed that they had received a report of a fire this morning.
Our reporter at the scene has told Fijivillage that the fire broke out at a double story house which had three flats.
One flat was completely destroyed in the fire while NFA was able to stop the fire from spreading to the other two flats.
The owner of the house has told us that two of his tenants who were asleep when the fire began had told him that the fire had started from the ceiling.
NFA has left the scene while police are still doing their investigation.
No one has been hurt.
