A 39-year-old doctor has been charged with murdering a man in Suva City last Friday.
Marvin Ketenilagi appeared before Magistrate Jioji Boseiwaqa and has been remanded in police custody till Friday when he will appear in the High Court.
It is alleged that Ketenilagi saw the man with a boy who was crying, and later assaulted the man.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says that the doctor was last seen by a security officer, allegedly assaulting the victim.
The victim was on his way to Totogo Police Station when he lost consciousness while driving.
The officers took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
