The Water Authority of Fiji is asking residents of Nadi and Lautoka to take ownership and start filling up water for the upcoming expected water shutdown.

Water Authority says whilst they have a well-planned strategy in place on placing water tanks around Nadi and Lautoka as a backup reserve, residents are advised to store water.

The Authority also confirmed that they will be deploying trucks to refill the tanks.

The planned water shut down will take place from this Saturday to next Tuesday to allow major repair works to be carried out at the Nagado Treatment Plant.
