James Corden is hosting the 2018 Grammys, featuring performances by Bruno Mars and Pink.

This year’s Grammys will be historic because Four of the five albums of the year nominees are rap and R&B‑based albums from black or Latino artists.

Bruno Mars is nominated amongst Despacito, by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber.

Mars is also up for record and song of the year while Kendrick Lamar and Childish Gambino are nominated for album and record of the year.

Jay‑Z is the star of today’s show, leading with eight nominations, including album for the year for his revealing 4:44, song of the year for the title track and record of the year for The Story of O.J.

It comes a year after The Recording Academy was heavily criticised when Adele won album of the year over Beyonce.

Other performers today include Lady Gaga, Pink, Harris and Chris Stapleton, Elton John and Miley Cyrus, Sam Smith, Little Big Town, Rihanna with DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller and Sting.
