Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach Gareth Baber believes that the New Zealand 7s debutants will want to prove themselves and beat Fiji in their pool in the Hong Kong 7s.
Baber had this say on Fiji’s pool in Hong Kong which consists of Samoa, Russia and New Zealand.
He says this is a perfect opportunity for the young Kiwi side to show their worth and they will not underestimate any team.
For the first time ever, a record number of seven players with links to Fiji have been named in the New Zealand 7s team to play in Hong Kong.
They include Rocky Khan, Luke Masirewa, Amanaki Nicole, Jona Nareki, Joe Ravouvou, Salesi Rayasi and Akuila Rokolisoa.
New Zealand has named two separate teams for the Hong Kong 7s and Commonwealth Games.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Men’s 7s team have left our shores this morning.
